- Cook just a small grab or a little bit of rice porridge enough for 1 bowl of serving for half an hour, in the last 5 minutes add in carrots and meat.
- Carrot is chopped into chunks, then into a few small sticks, add about 3 sticks into the boiling pot of porridge.
- For pork of my preference, it is cheaper and in large quantity, suitable as daily food. Cut pork into small pieces, add into the pot. For chicken, use only thigh part which bones are to be removed by the person who sells chicken. Cut too into small pieces of about half of your palm not too much. For fish, only 马交鱼 is used. I removed the skin and sliced off the bones leaving it with 4 parts of meat only for 1 piece of fish. Take only 1 part and keep the rest portion in a separated small plastic bags in the fridge.
- Take out the cooked porridge with the mixed ingredients.
- Blend all the mixture in a blender until smooth. (Caution with the hot ingredients for some blender can't blend hot ingredient, but I just ignore. You can blend it when it is leave to cool and blend it while it is still warm)
- Make sure it is still warm before putting inside the milk bottle with the nipples being cut into a bigger hole than the normal needle size hole, so as to release the easy flow of porridge for baby to suck. Do not let baby eat food that is too hot for I fear it might hurt her tongue or stomach, as a baby swallow food quickly. Be careful when cut the nipple so as it won't gone too big.
- My baby drinks milk only for the first 3 months, starting 3rd or 4th month, I think she needs other food other than milk, but she resist to eat porridge through spoon feeding, but quite like the porridge feed through milk bottle for quite a long period of time until she learns how to eat rice.
- Remember to use a separate milk bottle for porridge feeding as it stains on it with unremovable orange and brown color.
- Porridge are to be feed twice a day, once in the afternoon and once in the evening. If carrots or greens are used as porridge ingredients, make sure you cook 2 times a day because Vitamin C will loss under reheat process. Avoid reheating porridge of greens, but it is fine to get the 2 servings of porridge cooked in the morning and used 1 portion only.
