I had my Cesarean section at Normah Hospital, Kuching by Dr Alvince on 31 December 2014 in the morning with anesthesia bust. Not long after getting a drip at the first place, bladder catheter was loaded by another doctor. My daughter also my first child was then born at 10:28am. My husband is too in the operation room with me witness my baby's birth. I choose to give birth through Cesarean section instead of natural giving birth process during planning for future thinking surrounded by the Schizophrenia voices for which influenced or try to make me that way. At early pregnancy stage during an ultrascan at Dr Chiew clinic, I was found to have low placenta and are at risk of unable to give birth naturally and had to be done through Cesarean. At my second trimester of pregnancy I am not bothered by this issue. I cook this traditional Chinese supplement for my husband before I got pregnant.
I am arranged to see a visiting pychiatric Dr Ismail from General Hospital at Normah Hospital by Dr Alvince who allowed me to not take Schizophrenia medication during pregnancy as requested by me. My mother does not allowed me to for she fear of health problems arise in the unborn child due to side effects of medication.
Medication usually are prescribed if the risk of the mother's mental disorder problems outweighs the risk of harm brought by Schizophrenia medication. No evidence shows that all types of medicine is safe for pregnancy.
My C-section was done through laser cut of 10cm size based on my fetus size of head then sealed by laser with a laser machine. The risk of this surgery as informed by doctor is urine bladder might broke. However, my C-section was a successful one with me and my daughter safely gone through the process. She is a healthy baby girl of 2.4kg (although she is small size). 我还发现到止痛针比止痛药有效。
I requested for a single ward room. Doctor says that can stand up and walk one day after C-section. It was very painful, from sit up helped by my husband to walk inch by inch to the toilet. The nurse wipe my body with a wet cloth and help me in brushing my teeth on the bed.
Years after my C-section, there are no complications such as back pain and so on, only hard tissues underneath the scar which diminished itself through time with self-massage.
I planned to leave my placenta in the fridge and eat it. I was told by the doctor not to do so and end up burying my baby' s placenta at my Muara Tabuan home's (my mother's 1st house of a more than 20 years low cost single storey terrace house) backyard by my husband and mother. That was when I just given birth and yet to move in to our new home at Midway Crescent, Kota Samarahan.
The Cesarean section cost about RM8000 plus other hospital fee and reach RM10,000. Doctor's visit to patient's room is double the normal rate when during holidays especially New Year. This includes admission of me and my new born in the hospital. Seeking for doctor not only experienced, but also in conducting a C-section through the laser machine is very important.
