I got the idea of making agar-agar Milo &Susu by this blog http://auntyyoung.blogspot.my/search/label/Jelly%20%EF%BC%88%E7%87%95%E8%8F%9C%2F%E6%9E%9C%E5%86%BB%EF%BC%89
especially the Apricot Milk Jelly section on how to make 2 layer agar-agar.
I just bought this small agar-agar mould about the size of 1 Liter mixture size at Superstore, Tabuan Jaya, so I decided to make an agar-agar out of it. I too bought another mould of 2 Liter mixture size. For agar-agar Milo &Susu I decided to use the 1L mixture size mould as our family is a small family.
Milo layer:
1 tablespoon/ 5g of Agar-agar powder
3 tablespoon of Milo powder
3 tablespoon of sugar
500ml of water
2 pcs of pandan leaves
Susu layer:
1 tablespoon/ 5g of Agar-agar powder
3 tablespoon of Susu Milkmaid
2 tablespoon of sugar
500ml of water
2 pcs of pandan leaves
- For the milo layer, mix everything except Milo powder to prevent the powder from solidification. Add some water to the milo powder. Lastly add into the mixture and boil it until the sugar dissolves.
- For susu layer, mix all the ingredients together. Boil it until the sugar dissolves.
- When the jelly gets hard, gently pour another layer of jelly through a spoon. (Put a spoon in between of the mixture and the jelly that hardens and pour the mixture through it gently so as not to break the jelly that had slightly harden).
- This mould makes about 12 servings.
- Cool your agar-agar in the fridge and serve cold.
